Abstract

Ports play a vital role in global trade routes, demanding optimal operational performance. Failure to achieve efficiency leads to high Ship Waiting Time (Y), resulting in high logistical costs and disrupted cargo flow This study aims to analyze the simultaneous and partial influence of Guiding Services (X1), Loading and Unloading Productivity (X2), Pier Availability (X3), and Ship Scheduling (X4) on Ship Waiting Time at Krakatau International Port (KIP) by PT. Krakatau Jasa Samudera. Employing a quantitative method and Proportional Random Sampling on 109 respondents, Multiple Linear Regression analysis confirms that all four independent variables simultaneously have a negative and significant effect on Ship Waiting Time. The resulting regression equation is Y = 0.273 + 0.182 X1 + 0.176 X2 + 0.237 X3 + 0.376 X4 + \mu. Ship Scheduling (X4) proved to be the most dominant factor (coefficient 0.376). The Adjusted\ R^2 value of 0.606 indicates that 60.6% of the variation in Ship Waiting Time is explained by this model. This finding emphasizes the strategic role of Ship Scheduling management in minimizing Waiting Time at large-scale dry bulk international ports.
